Energy Star for Engineers: New and Existing Buildings
Recently, state and local jurisdictions have been leveraging ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, a web based software tool, to benchmark and track building energy performance, for mandatory disclosure of energy performance of buildings.
The U.S. EPA ENERGY STAR Buildings program business opportunity for engineers because it can be used to help clients establish an organization-wide energy management and receive recognition for accomplishments, as well as requiring a licensed professional engineer’s to verify the building’s Energy Star application.
